Q: What is Pilates?
A: Pilates aims to strengthen the body, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and well-being. Pilates exercises are done on a mat, with props or using special equipment such as the reformer.

Studio Anna Mora works on developing a strong “core,” or center of the body. The core consists of the deep abdominal muscles along with the muscles closest to the spine.

Q: Do I have to make a reservation for a class?
A: Yes, we advise to make a reservation. It guarantees your place in the class.
Your reservation enables us to contact you in case of an unforeseen change to the schedule.

By making a reservation the trainer is prepared in advance for the class. He/ she knows how many and which students they can expect.

A: When this is your first or follow-up visit.
Go to ‘schedule’ on the site and sign up for the class you wish to visit. You will be asked to log in. When you are here for the first time, please make your account and log in.
You can ’make a single reservation’ or ’register as unpaid ‘.

When you make a single reservation, the site will lead you to the option to pay for your class using the payment method Ideal.

Q: Can I cancel a booked class?
A: Yes: Group classes cancelled more than 8 hours before the class starts, will not be charged. For reformer classes and private appointments we hold a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Visit Studio AnnaMora website and go to ’my info’. You will find your booked classes there and the option to cancel them.

Q: How does the waitlist work?
A: When classes are fully booked, you will be put on the waitlist. When somebody cancels her booking 8 (mat classes) or 24 (reformer classes) hours before the class starts, you will get an email that you are moved from the waitlist to the group. So, at the latest, you get this mail 8 or 24 hours before the class starts.

When somebody cancels less hours before, you will not be notified. If you wish to be sure if there is a late cancel and consequently you could join the class, phone the studio and ask the studio-host.

Q: Do I need to bring anything to the session?
A: No, we have the necessary mats and props.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear comfortable clothes. In our studio you can wear special socks or ballet shoes. We have a changing room where you can change.

Q: I am new to Pilates, do I need experience?
A: No, if you are a new studio member please consider the following:
• Mat 1 class is for beginners.
• Mat 2 and 3 are for intermediate.
• Instructors must be made aware of any existing or previous injuries or illness.
• Do you have or suffer from chronic injuries that limit your mobility, coordination or range of movement or do you suffer from pain when performing daily activities, please inform the trainer.
• Private lessons are a recommended if you have not done Pilates before or suffering from specific physical ailments
• Reformer classes: Clients must speak to the instructors before booking in or attending a reformer class. It is imperative that you are experienced in Pilates to participate in this class.

Q: Is there only Pilates in your studio?
A: No. We have dance classes and specialized classes such as Gyrokinesis, Barre Concept and Essentrics.

We also hold specific workshops throughout the year which consists of various exercises or holistic groups. For more information about these classes, please look them up under specials and dance on the website.

Q: I am pregnant, can I do Pilates?
A: Yes, we have a pre-and postnatal class on Sunday. Pilates is an excellent way to stay in shape during and after pregnancy.

Instructors must be made aware of any physical issues during or after a client’s pregnancy.

Q: Which language is spoken during classes?
A: Mostly English. Trainers and clients have various backgrounds. The language spoken is adapted by who is present.

Q: How much does a class cost?

Q: Can cards (classes & private) be extended?
• A: Sorry, we do not extend cards. Exceptions are made when you inform us about serious medical issues and for the pre-and postnatal classes.
• Cards are not extended for holidays or travel. If you travel frequently, we recommend purchasing a single drop in classes or single private or semiprivate session.
• Cards are not extended (this includes unlimited membership) when a change is made to the schedule, (teacher-change, class-cancellations etc.)
• We do not offer refunds.

Q: Can I get a holiday “freeze” for my Unlimited class Membership
A: Yes once a year you can stop for one month, but only from the first of the month. This is to be agreed upon before the 23rd of the previous month.

During the summer schedule the unlimited class membership stays valid as usual, even if we have a special summer schedule.

Q: Can I get an unlimited class membership without the monthly bank collection or without the contract.
A: Yes; you can buy a 3 month Unlimited for € 270. This is to be paid in one time.
The 3 month package can start any day of the month and is valid for 3 consecutive months.

Q: How many classes do I have left? When does my card expire?
A: This information is available when logging into your account.

Q: Can I buy a 10 class card at student rate?
A: It is possible to buy a 10 x student card for € 100. This card is valid for 3 months.
All students must show a valid student card on their first visit to the studio.

Q: Can I use a first visit try-out session for different classes?
A: No, the try-out session is applicable for only one visit. It can only be used for one class.
If you do not attend, this option will automatically become unavailable.

KIDS

Q: Can I bring my kid for a try-out class?
A: Yes, of course. Your kid can try once the ballet or breakdance class. The costs for a try-out are € 11,00. When he or she joins the class during the semester, the fee will be calculated proportionally.

Q: Are there kids classes during Holidays?
A: No, we don’t have classes during school holidays. We take the schedule of primary school De Kleine Reus as a standard for these holidays.

Q: Can I bring my kid right after school?
A: The kids from the ballet class of 13.15 hr can come to eat their lunch here from 12.30 hr on. When kids arrive earlier than classes start, we expect parents to guide them during their stay in the studio.

Please take notice that Pilates machines are NO playing machines. Pilates props are not meant to be used as playing material.
